Lenses

For the lenses project i have chosen WWII

Lenses

Race:

Nazi Germany: These people may have felt, under the leadership of hitler, that the Jewish and other opposing peoples are a threat and a scourge to society, they felt they were helping the world in getting rid of thevermin.

The Jewish: They were be constantly persecuted and were probably under the impression that the germans were evil and disgusting, ruthless unmerciful murderers and enjoyd being malicious and killing for fun.

Class:

The upper and political class: This class was where the german army stood. Hitler the ir leader was the German governor and he knew hoiw to use his power, they were opposed by all governments and people of course stood against them but they were too high a power to just get rid of.

Working Class: They were the ones able to fortify, hide or escape to other places, they were the people who had the easiest time in the war, easiest was still not easy.

Poverty: They felt the brunt of the attack and were torn to shreds, literally. They were faced with brutal murder and many hard living conditions.

Gender:

Male: These were the people that needed to protect and fight in the war itself, although hard they could defend themselves and it was just like a job for them, they felt a lot more like a vindictive and patriotic attitude.

Female: They were faced with all the problems they were not spared and they were being looted plundered and even raped during the war.

My own lens:

I see this as a learning experience for the world we should take proper surveillance and measures in order to stop it from happening again. I also see it a horrific time in world history.

words are overlooked

You are probably sitting at your computer surfing the web and reading blogs, pages and articles. You turn around to a large library, a myriad of books. Turn to any page and read it. That was easily done you can read and comprehend that. What have you just done there, you have not just read a page from a book. You have been able to communicate with the author; the author has spoken to you.

Which brings me to my point, how do you, as a person perceive words writing and communication itself? Think about that for a second. When was the last time you saw the true value of words. Can you imagine a life without words? I have always wondered. How do you teach a baby to talk? You can say the four words “This is a toy.” It wont know these four words to a illegible baby the four words could be “hook too goobing dong!”  I know that you may repeat toy over and over pointing at the object, but how do you teach a baby to say words that aren’t nouns. The word “the” is just a word, there is nothing to point to, nothing to touch feel or show the child. How do you teach this? In turn the child can not communicate back, it might say back to you “toy” but not take the object and respond, “this is a toy.” That is why I feel communication is so important.

Can you appreciate the value of words, can you understand what they mean to you. If we did not have them we would be a very chaotic society. Writing is a tool that can be used by many, but only some can use it correctly. I am a young boy so I do watch a lot of TV and such, but I still understand the potential I could have with writing. I know one friend of mine, his name is Nick. He is a truly gifted writer, like many people are. But what makes Nick a better writer than most people is his passion of the subject. There are many people like Nick pursuing many subjects and with that passion achieving many goals.

Now look back at the page you read at the beginning of this post, look back over the words do not just see the words, connect to the words, become the words, enjoy the words, it does not matter what it says at this present moment, you already know what it says. But now try and see each word as an individual word, mouth them slowly. How does that feel? Can you feel an aura around you? Can you understand that the author has put time and effort into that one word? Read the page one last time, and think about how it feels to read it this time. Does is feel different? Just plain love the words is all I’m trying to say.
